Happy Autumn, everyone!
A few weeks ago I shared a post that included my Fall bucket list & decorating my front porch was on that list. The weather has cooled & this put us in the mood to start decorating. It's also been extra chilly during the nights so I decided to move my houseplants inside about two weeks ago. I had planned to replace my Boston ferns with mums but they were too small so I decided to go with fake flowers instead. Mums also thrive in full sun so it was the better decision anyways. I absolutely love how it turned out!

This past weekend we went to a local Farm Market to pick out pumpkins, gourds, cornstalks, and mums. It was a lot of fun picking through the different colors and shapes of pumpkins. My personal favorites are the white & green ones. I tried to pick the short flat pumpkins so I could stack them in the corner.

After that, we headed to Joanne Fabrics & HomeGoods to pick a few other decorations. I snagged the two-way sign & flowers in the tall planters from Joanne’s. I think I found a gem with this sign because it is versatile. I fell in love with the "let there be PUMPKIN spice" side first, but after seeing "HAPPY Autumn" with the rest of my decor I like it just as much! Which side should I stick with?
SIDE NOTE: it can be easily customizable if I ever want to DIY a different seasonal design in the future.
I couldn’t pass on the gnomes & concrete pumpkin from HomeGoods. They are something I’ll use for years to come. Besides, I have a slight obsession with gnomes since visiting Iceland. It’s a magical country where they believe in elves and gnomes and it’s worth checking out.
Or
You could watch Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga on Netflix. It’s a comedy & they do a great job showcasing Icelandic culture. ( Keep in mind it is an exaggerated comedy like all Will Ferrell movies. )
As you can see below, I kept our plaid rug because it is perfect for all seasons. The top mat is our Harry Potter rug (also perfect for Autumn & Halloween) that quotes Ron Weasley, "It's not much, but it's home."
The final item I added was this beautiful wreath that was gifted to us last Fall by my mother-in-law. It is full of gourds, pine cones, leaves, and feathers! Basically, everything Autumn related. It pulls the whole design together & is the perfect focal point.

I would love to see your Fall porch decorations! Please tag me on Instagram @always_willow. Also, what is your favorite kind of pumpkin? There are so many shapes, sizes, and colors to choose from! Don't forget to let me know which side of the sign I should stick with!
Always,
Erikka
