I've promised you for a while now & I'm finally holding up to my word. This week we dive into the plants that hangout in our master bedroom/bathroom. If you follow me on Instagram @always_willow then you got a sneak peek of this post over the weekend. The good news is I saved the stories in my Highlights for those who missed it, so make sure you check that out. This was also something you guys seemed to have enjoyed and have requested to see the rest of our home, so our kitchen is up next.

Heartleaf philodendron cuttings. This is a vining plant I planned on propagating but loved the way it looked in this vase.

Left to right: Corn Plant Dracaena & Aloe Vera. My corn plant isn't doing so well. I think I overwatered him so I am just waiting to see if he makes it.

Snake plants. These guys are some of my oldest plants (going on 10 years). I accidentally thought it was a good idea to use a vacuum to clean the dust off the leaves...some leaves, well, broke off. It was a sad, sad day.

Orchids. I have 6 orchids in 5 pots on this beautiful stand. I hope to get them to all bloom at once someday.

Marble Queen Pothos. A marble queen has marble-like variegation of white & green. She is thirsty. You can tell because her leaves are curled. I watered her the next morning.

Golden Pothos. Similar to the Marble Queen but has yellow & green variegation. This one was also thirsty in this picture.
Sansevieria Starfish. This is a type of snake plant that has thicker leaves and can fan out like a starfish or grow in clusters of different directions. Either way, super cool & fun.

Peperomia Obtusfolia aka Baby Rubber Plant. This baby plant actually broke off of the main plant so I decided to see if I could successfully propagate it. Look how cute!

Nerve Plant. Super dramatic and Ziggy's (my kitty) favorite snack. When it's thirsty it will droop all the way over the side of the pot. Once you add water, it perks back up within a few hours.

ZZ Plant, Spider plant & Peace Lily. ZZ Plants are super easy, unless your cat decides to use them as a litter box.

Pothos & Jade Plant. The small jade plant is actually from a cutting this past summer. Pothos makes a great plant for a beginner and is one of the easiest plants to propagate...which is why I have so many.

Marimo Moss Ball & succulent (from a petal!). This moss ball is a fun little squish. They love cold water and are so fun to look at. You can usually find them in a pet store.

ZZ Plant. He is the easiest plant to take care of. I only need to water him once every 4-5 weeks. They have rhizomes bulbs as roots that retain water.

Tradescantia Zebrina aka Wandering Dude. This is a relatively easy plant to care for...& it's purple!

Boston Fern. Last summer this guy wasn't in the greatest of shape. I made a few adjustments and he started to unfurl new leaves. I moved him to our bathroom to achieve higher humidity, lower sunlight & added a tray of pebbles & water. The last thing I plan to do is re-pot him in a glazed or plastic pot this spring to help it retain more moisture.
Let me know on Instagram @always_willow if you have any of these plants in your home & don't forget to subscribe so you never miss another post.
Always,
Erikka
