2021 Is For The Home Decor

My husband & I have been in our forever home a little over a year. While there wasn‘t much that I wanted to change right away, there was one thing I knew we had to do immediately & that was to paint!

Our home was built in the early 2000’s so while it is young, it’s also a little outdated.

When we walked through the front door, we could see the sunroom & the kitchen. Both rooms were bright, bold, & too much for me to handle!

I wanted it all white!

Plus, painting is the cheapest & quickest way to transform a room. Our first picture in our new home wasn’t of us in front of our door, or holding the sold sign or even dangling the keys in front of the home!

It was of us painting the sunroom! (Well, technically Zach.)

We wasted no time & haven’t really slowed down since.

So far, we have painted our living room, sunroom, kitchen, mast bedroom, master bathroom, master closet, bedroom 1 & we just started bedroom 2 tonight! We have been using satin interior Valspar Signature brand. We chose the shade Swiss Coffee for the walls & Ultra White for the ceilings, trim and doors. I absolutely love it now!

I so badly want to start decorating each room, but I am being patient.

I decided to slow down & wait until we are completely done painting the upstairs before we invest in home decor mainly because we have to keep emptying the room we are working on. We removed all the carpet from the house & replaced it with Pergo Portfolio in Brentwood Pine.

I plan to concentrate on one room at a time before moving to the next & I’m taking you along for the ride! I will share the before & after pictures for each room in upcoming posts!

2021 is going to be for the Home Decor!
